Dr. Saif Mahmood

Our Senior Partner, Dr Saif Mahmood is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of India, an international lawyer and strategy advisor, and a legal scholar who has cultivated a wealth of expertise in navigating complex legal frameworks. Holding a doctorate in Law with specialisation in comparative legal systems and a prestigious United Nations Certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), he frequently appears before courts and international and domestic arbitral tribunals. 

Saif has successfully handled a wide variety of legal issues, rendering cutting-edge legal advice to clients for the quickest possible solutions. His expertise includes Corporate and Commercial disputes, International Commercial Contracts, Aviation, Infrastructure, Real Estate & Property, Media & Entertainment, Constitutional and Public Law, and litigation involving complex issues of interpretation of statutes, contracts and civil laws.  – subjects on which he has handled a wide variety of cases, advised major clients and spoken at numerous conferences and seminars.

An expert in drafting complicated transactional documents, Saif possesses a unique blend of legal acumen and meticulous attention to detail that ensures that every document withstands judicial scrutiny and serves as a solid foundation for business transactions. 

A niche area that Saif consults in is Technology Innovation, Investments and Business Development in the India-UK-UAE corridor. He has a deep understanding of not just law and business but also of the Indo-UK-UAE cultural landscape, that helps him assist clients across these countries and build ecosystems for those who are motivated to enter any of these markets. He sits on the Board of the UK-based thinktank, Tech India Advocates.

Saif has also been consulted on important issues of family laws and high-profile succession and estate matters and has the rare honour of being cited by a Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court of India. A well-known author and public speaker, Saif has served as Visiting Scholar in Law at the University of Oxford, Visiting Fellow in Law at Asia’s largest private university, Amity University, and has held important positions in various international organisations.
